What is Premenstrual Syndrome? PMS is a disorder characterized by a set of hormonal changes that trigger disruptive symptoms in a significant number (estimated 40 million suffers) of women for up to two weeks prior to menstruation. Often symptoms tend to taper off with menstruation and women remain symptom-free until the two weeks or so prior to the next menstrual period. These regularly recurring symptoms from ovulation until menses typify PMS, premenstrual syndrome. Characteristics of PMS Over 150 symptoms have been attributed to PMS. After complaints of feeling "out-of-control", anxious, depressed and having uncontrollable crying spells, the most common complaints are headache and fatigue. But symptoms may vary from month to month and there may even be symptom-free months. Characteristically symptoms may be both physical and emotional. They may include physical symptoms as headache, migraine, fluid retention, fatigue, constipation, painful joints, backache, abdominal cramping, heart palpitations and weight gain. Emotional and behavioral changes may include anxiety, depression, irritability, panic attacks, tension, lack of coordination, decreased work or social performance and altered libido. Normally five days before my period I have intense mood swings; I feel really sad or frustrated and usually yell and cry at my loved ones. Also during this time I get the worst headaches (irritated by light and uncontrollable) and cramps. Yesterday, I felt those symptoms coming on so I started taking Femalite. Honestly my body's reaction was almost immediate. The pain literally disappeared and I was in a completely euphoric state all day. Honestly, I have not been in a mood that great since I was a child. My fiance commented that he looks forward to me being this happy before every period. Femalite contains: Foeniculum Vulgare, also called 'Imboziso' in Zulu, grows wild all over Africa and has been used for many centuries as a diuretic, anti-spasmodic and calmative herb. It contains an aniseed-flavored essential oil containing mostly anethole, as well as fenchone, both of which are thought to account for its anti-spasmodic and diuretic properties. Pulsatilla Vulgaris is an important nerve relaxant and mild sedative, which is also a soothing analgesic for the female reproductive organs. Pulsatilla has also been used by patients trying to recover from dependence on benzodiazepine tranquillizers. Melissa Officinalis is indigenous to the Eastern Mediterranean region but is widespread throughout Africa. It is often used as a general nervous system restorative, digestive calmative and to reduce blood pressure. Its active ingredients include volatile oil (including citronella), tannins, flavinoids, tocopherols and choline. Femalite is 100% Safe, Proven and Totally Effective and can be also be used together with Dong Quai to balance hormones and to treat both the symptoms and the causes of PMS. How do I use Femalite? Age 10 – 12: Ten drops in a little water two to three times per day. Age twelve and up: 10-15 drops in a little water three to four times a day. Caution: Safety during pregnancy or breastfeeding has not yet been established. How long until I see results?
Begin use about 5 days before the onset of menstruation or when the first signs of PMS are noted. Improvement is apparent within about 5 minutes. How long will a bottle last? One bottle of Femalite will last through four to five menstrual cycles.
